Recommendation Letter and Appeal for Aid
With this letter, we appeal to you on behalf of the prominent organization "Binyan Adei Ad" Charitable Fund, which is operated by a dear and esteemed community activist, Rabbi Eliyahu Chaim Bunin, shlit"a. Rabbi Bunin perceived the anguish and difficulties of scholars toiling diligently for the sake of Torah, many of whom are fathers of families blessed with many children and are struggling valiantly to place bread upon their tables and feed their innocent children. Others are also upon the brink of marrying off their own children and are sunk in situations of despair and sorrow at their inability to provide for their ever-growing families. Unable to withstand the torment of his brothers, Rabbi Bunin established the "Binyan Adei Ad" Charitable Fund a number of years ago and, since then, toils endlessly for the sake of destitute Torah scholars in Israel. Rabbi Bunin distributes desperately-needed financial aid to countless needy families, who are then able to perpetuate their lives of Torah study without the ominous threat of starvation looming above their heads. Likewise, he also endows substantial aid to the sick and ailing for the purchase of expensive medications, which are beyond their narrow budgets; and distributes money and gifts in various cities in Israel prior to the holidays. Due to Rabbi Bunin's boundless assistance, the financial situations of innumerable families were stabilized, and they are now able to support and provide for their loved ones. Thus, we humbly beseech the aid of our generous brothers, Bnei Yisrael, those who live near and far, to rise to the aid of this distinguished activist. Please, donate generously and gladly for the sake of this supreme, unparalleled mitzvah of lovingkindess, which eases the lot of Torah scholars so they may continue studying the sacred Torah in tranquility and peace of mind. We entreat the heavens to extend mercy, salvation, goodness, and lovingkindness to all those who extend the same to our brothers in need and charitably support the study of Torah. Especially in these days prior to the ultimate redemption, it is critical to recall the words of Chazal who teach that all who engage in acts of lovingkindness will be saved from the birth pangs of Mashiach. May these merits safeguard all members of our nation; and may we merit witnessing Bnei Yisrael uplifted with the coming of the Redeemer, speedily in our days. Amen.
Signing for the sake of this supreme mitzvah,
Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Ulman Rabbi Yehoshua Rosenberger Rabbi Yaakov Mendel Yurovitch Beis Din Zedek, Jerusalem
