This is a story of a family that was slowly falling apart

.

This is a story of a family that was slowly falling apart.  The medical condition of their son Ron and all that accompanied it was slowly taking its toll on the psychological state of his mother.  In the attachment, you can see that the child was perfectly healthy before the bacterial infection entered his brain. The added pressures of the subsequent family "simchas"-the engagements of a son and then a daughter-affected the father's health, and he was labelled at-risk for heart attack.  Worry for her husband's frail health added to the continuing deterioration of the overwrought mother.

Next, came the children... The younger children began exhibiting signs of scholastic and emotional deterioration, which only served to renew the circle of disaster.

The first thing Binyan Adei Ad did was help cover all basic wedding expenses, including a bed washing machine and a refrigerator, etc., which removed the treat of immediate danger from the father.

Only days before the wedding, the family received a phone call from the hospital, informing them that Ron had almost died due to false positioning, which had caused a severe case of pneumonia.  The family now had the added expense of purchasing a special wheelchair.  Binyan Adei Ad arranged for the family to obtain a wheelchair at a special price and also covered the remaining sum of money, which the family could not afford to pay on their own. This helped the psychological state of all family members, as they no longer lived in fear of the shadow of death.

However, the poor long-suffering mother was experiencing trouble functioning due to the successive traumas of past and current events.  Binyan Adei Ad thus sent her to a reputed psychologist; and she later admitted that it was these sessions that saved her life.

After attending a number of sessions, the mother and entire family were struck again when their one-and-a half year old baby died in the middle of the night from SIDS.  The mother continued the therapy sessions.  The psychologist remarked that it was the first few sessions that actually saved her life, as the healing process that she had commenced allowed her to handle her tragic loss with personal fortitude and acceptance.  In addition, she now possessed the tools to deal with all her challenges.  Her poor children saw their mother's smile return; and the new tranquillity in the home helped initiate begin a healing process, as well.  The children are now advancing in their studies and are reliving the earlier days when they had been normal children in a happy, loving family environment.

Binyan Adei Ad was there for this family, during one of the most difficult periods in their lives, when they were certain that they were all alone...
