This past month, I underwent a 12,000 NIS open heart surgery, and have not been able to work since. My medical condition is continually deteriorating, and I suffer from recurring blocked bypasses and severe blockages in other arteries of the heart. My medical condition is terrible. I can not exert myself at all; even the lightest task is perilous to my health. I require numerous medical procedures, which must be performed by Professor Lotan of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. These procedures are very expensive. Since I stopped working, my financial situation has deteriorated drastically. My bank account is currently minus 63,000 NIS, aside for the 120,000 NIS loans that I borrowed to perform the surgeries. Currently, our only income is the 4,000 NIS per month that we receive as a national insurance handicap grant. I require immediate and substantial financial assistance. I am literally collapsing beneath the financial burden, and I do not perceive any light at the end of this long and harrowing tunnel. My wife's medical condition is very difficult. Every week, they give her new medications that are not included in the Health Fund's Medical Basket, and this is costing us a fortune. My wife has already undergone heart surgery. Furthermore, my son suddenly and totally stopped speaking. We have to take him to psychiatrists to evaluate the problem, and this is very expensive. In general, I feel that our family life is deteriorating. We have no food in the house, nothing at all. I do not have the money to pay my rent, and I feel terrible about it. We don't have money to purchase food or desperately-needed medication, and we are all suffering from deprivation. I have a terrible infection in my gums and have lost many of my teeth, which is painful and very embarrassing. Please help us! L. Family |
