Little N has already endured eleven surgeries in his arms and legs

...

We entreat you with a heartfelt cry for assistance.  We have six small children, among them a set of twins. One of the twins was born with a difficult handicap, twisted arms and legs, and a number of other health complications.  Today, he is five-and-a-half years old.  Since his birth, we have known much anguish and trips back and forth to countless doctors and medical experts.

Little N has already endured eleven surgeries in his arms and legs; some of these surgeries were very complicated and painful.  When he was six months, one of the surgeries led to infection and gangrene.  There was no choice but to amputate part of his leg.

Eighteen months ago, a surgery on his knee was also unsuccessful. As a result, he required another surgery six month later. His knee was in a cast throughout the entire six month period, and he suffered terrible pain.  The cast prevented him from rolling from side to side, which caused him to sleep in only one position for the entire period of time.  This caused terrible decay in half of his teeth, since his saliva did not touch half of his mouth while he slept.

He is 100% mentally healthy and progressing beautifully. He talks, sings, and understands everything expected of a five-year-old. However, it breaks our hearts that he can not walk or perform normal activities with his hands and feet, and he requires a tremendous amount of help and encouragement.

The most emotionally difficult aspect of his handicap is watching him together with his twin brother. The two boys were born on the same day. Today, one can run and jump around, while his twin looks on jealously and with a broken heart asks why he can't do everything like his brother...

We are thankful for all the miracles that we witness on a day to day basis. However, the tremendous costs of therapies and treatments weaken us and prevent us from helping him progress as much as we would wish.

The costs of caring for our dear son are exorbitant: transportation, therapy, surgeries, examinations, evaluations, physiotherapy...

As you can see from our monthly receipts, we face many costs of various medical equipment and therapy that is not included in the health fund's medical basket, especially dental care.  Dental treatment must be done under full anesthesia, as a result of his limitations. The list goes on and on.

His doctors are adamant that he must receive regular therapy if we want him to progress and eventually walk.  They presage that if we neglect his care, then G-D forbid, the opposite could occur...

We are heartbroken parents who are trying to do everything we can in order to help our dear child.  We hope and pray for the day when we will see our son walk on his own two feet.  However, we are already sunk into such debt, that we can not afford to continue therapy. Our son's medical expenses are on top of the tremendous expenses entailed in running our home and caring for our family of children.

We sincerely hope that you will be able to help us and remove some of this painful burden from our shoulders. Please help us generously so we can help our dear N who deserves to walk like every other child

May you enjoy a bounty of blessing and success in all your endeavors, and may you never know pain or sorrow. Amen!

Thank you very much!

With hope and prayers,

C Family
